Paul Hanna, MD, MSc
Dr. Hanna obtained his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin with Honors in Research Distinction for his work on sodium-glucose cotransporters. He finished his residency at Froedtert hospitals in Milwaukee, WI and is currently a third year nephrology fellow at MGH/BWH combined Harvard program. He has a deep clinical interest in Onconephrology and digital media in medical education. He serves as the Chair of the Website Committee at the American Society of Onconephrology.
Kenar D. Jhaveri, MD
Dr. Jhaveri is Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine and Associate chief of Nephrology at Northwell Health in NY. He is the co-director of both the Glomerular Center at Northwell and the Onconephrology services. He is the program director for the Galdi Fellowship in Onconephrology and glomerular diseases at Northwell Health. Currently, he is the Editor in Chief of ASN kidney News and a founding member of the American Society of Onconephrology. He has over 200 publications on topics related to onconephrology, glomerular diseases, AKI and social media in nephrology.
Shruti Gupta, MD, MPH
Dr. Gupta earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University, her MD from the University of Virginia, and completed Residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed Fellowship in Nephrology at the BWH/MGH Joint Program, during which time she earned an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and received an F32 grant from the NIH. Shruti is currently supported by an NIH K23 Career Development Award. She is Director of Onconephrology at BWH/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and the co-president and Founder of the American Society of Onconephrology.
Mark Perazella, MD
Dr. Perazella is a Board-certified nephrologist and Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine and VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT. His academic career has centered on his role as a clinician and academic educator. His clinical areas of interest are drug-induced kidney disease, onconephrology, HIV-related kidney disease, and complications of hemodialysis.
Raad Chowdhury, MD
Dr. Chowdhury has completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Ohio Health: Riverside Methodist hospital, and then was Chief Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he completed his Nephrology training. Currently he is an Onco-Nephrology Fellow at Mayo Clinic, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension and is looking forward to a career in Academic Medicine. He hopes to continue to help develop the field and raise awareness about Onco-Nephrology through medical education and social media.
Omar Mamlouk, MD
Dr. Mamlouk obtained his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and completed both his nephrology training and advanced onconephrology training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX
Marco Bonilla, MD
Dr. Bonilla is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the department of medicine/section of nephrology at The University of Chicago. He is a member of the Social Media Committee for the American Society of Onconephrology and a GlomCon Fellowship Course Instructor for the virtual fellowship class 2022-2023. Dr. Bonilla received his medical degree from The University of El Salvador. He completed his nephrology training at Donald and Barbara Zucker school of medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he underwent special training in Glomerular Diseases and Onconephrology. And he was also part of the GlomCon virtual Glomerular Disease fellowship class 2021-2022.
Kartik Kalra MD, FASN
Dr. Kalra graduated from the medical school of Kasturba Medical College, India. He finished his Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. He then completed his Nephrology Fellowship at UPMC, Pittsburgh. He also trained for 1-year at the GLOMCON Glomerular disease fellowship. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Rimda Wanchoo, MD
Dr. Wanchoo is Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and Onconephrologist at Northwell Health. She has several publications in onconephrology and is director of onconephrology services at Northwell Health. She is an Associate editor for Journal of Onconephrology and Clinical Kidney Journal.
Tanazul Pariswala, MD
Dr. Pariswala is currently a second-year nephrology fellow at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, NY. He is pursuing an onco-nephrology track in the final year of his fellowship training. Dr. Pariswala earned his medical degree from Tver State Medical Academy, Russia, and he completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Flushing Hospital Medical Center, NY. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, friends and traveling.
Anna-Ève Turcotte. MD
Dr. Turcotte completed her nephrology training at the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada and is currently an onconephrology fellow at MD Anderson Cancer center, Houston, TX.
Heather Troung, PharmD
Dr. Troung is a Hematology/Oncology Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at Mayo Clinic – Rochester. She completed my post-graduate training at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her clinical practice and research interests focus on the management of hematologic malignancies.
Ishaan Zaveri
Ishaan Zaveri is currently a senior in high school at Great Neck South High School and is very involved in his schools research program. He is planning on pursuing either a biomedical engineering or mechanical engineering degree in college and is planning on continuing research in the field of onconephrology. He also is currently a volunteer at Northshore University Hospital.
Carl S. Dernell, MD
Dr. Dernell is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He specializes in anatomic and clinical pathology, with a focus on renal and gynecologic pathology. Dr. Dernell completed his medical degree at the University of Colorado and his residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Maulinkumar Patel, MBBS
Dr Patel is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at UTHealth Houston, focusing on epidemiology. He completed his medical degree at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, India, in 2020. In addition to his studies, Dr Patel serves as the Co-chair of the Website Committee for the American Society of Onconephrology (ASON). He is interested in pursuing residency training in Internal Medicine.
